Shinrin yoku/Forest bathing
Forest bathing or Shinrin yoku originates from Japan, where it dates back to the early 1980’s. It was developed to bring back nature as part of a natural healing and recuperation process for the hardworking Japanese population, in order to promote health among workers.
Forest bathing is centered around utilizing the stress-reducing effects of nature.

In Japan, forest bathing includes the escape from the city, i.e. leaving the pulse of urban life to calm the nerves and decompress. Up here in the mountains, we provide a combination of forest and mountain bathing. Our lifestyle and meditation councilor, Cecilia Hedvall, will guide you on an exploration where you will experience mindfulness and relaxation.
Upon returning to the hotel, you can enjoy our sauna or book a professional massage, followed by a cozy and relaxing time in front of our indoor fireplace. Finish the day at our restaurant, which serves traditional Swedish dishes made from local produce.
